Blank Walls Are Boring.
What's more boring than a blank piece of paper? A blank wall. But like a blank piece of paper, the wall (or many walls in our case) can act as canvas for creativity & expression. Moving into a new loft space meant coming into a ton of new walls, all bright white, ready to be tampered with. When approaching a fresh wall, don't overthink your plan. It can seem overwhelming at first, especially when your walls stretch 14+ feet high, but take into account the simple idea of the piece of paper. Nothing is permanent and just like an eraser, a little plaster and paint can get rid of any "bad" decision you might come across.
When approaching a new blank canvas, I like to start simple with a piece I really love and quite literally work my way up. You'll be surprised what small changes can make a big impact to the blank walls in your home. Simple objects like towel racks can make a statement when given the right space. Workable pieces like frames & accent shelving can give you opportunities to mix and match home decor depending on your mood.
