Antelope Canyon
On The Line
This is a must see stop in Arizona. Although it's definitely a tourist trap it was worth the wait to learn about the history and stories from this natural landmark. I felt like I was waiting in line at Disney almost the entire time, but it was still an incredible experience to witness such a natural wonder. No matter which part of the canyon you go to (upper or lower) you'll run into the same lines, but the park service does a good job of filling in the waiting times with fun facts and history about the canyons. Groups depart every 15 minutes so there isn't too much down time before you start your trek, just know you will wait at some point during your trip.
Photography
Don't bother paying for the extra photography packages unless you want to skip the lines but you can learn everything from the professionals just by paying attention. If I can give any advice on photographing Antelope Canyon its this: Get prepared to crop. It was near impossible to claim a photograph without having it photobombed unless you were willing to hold up the line of 100+ people behind you.
